February Attendance Report

The attendance numbers are here for February!

Just like January, this was a tough month for our students, families, and staff at Lakeside with all the sicknesses; however, there are some very positive parts of this report!

January to February, we sadly decreased the attendance rate from 92.5% to 91.3%. Our yearly attendance rate is sadly down to 92.84%.

Ms. Hill, Mrs. Brown, and Mrs. Horner’s classes all were above the 95% average daily attendance rate. They are attendance all-stars! Mrs. Horner, Mrs. Samples, and Ms. Hill’s classes all met or exceeded their February attendance goals. Mrs. Horner, Mrs. Ord, Mrs. Brown, and Ms. Hill’s classes all improved their attendance rates from last month! That is awesome!

Our tardies have increased from 129 last month to 178 this month. This has been the greatest number of tardies since October. We have some work to do!

An issue that must be addressed is the chronic attendance rate, which currently sits at 23.4% of our students who are “chronically absent,” or have missed 10% or more days. This includes verified and unverified absences. While we have seen a slight decrease in this rate from last month, the number of students who are chronically absent is still alarmingly high.
