Our PTO meeting will be Thursday, May 18 at 6:00. A representative will be at the meeting to gather information about internet access in our region.
Midterm grades are available by checking students' Schoology accounts. Please log in to see grades. Cookie dough will be delivered on Tuesday and will be available for pick up in the afternoon at the front of the school between 1 and 4. If you have a small order, we will it send home with your child.
Tuesday is picture day. You may order on line at Lifetouch.com or send in the envelope previously sent home. If you lost yours, we have additional ones. Orders should be in the child's blue folder (not their backpack).
Tuesday is also McTeacher Night at Hurricane McDonalds from 5-8. Proceeds will help the fifth graders with their end of year field trip.
Tuesday is also the last Good News Club Day at Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Now is the time to apply to receive this summer's Backpack Buddies food boxes. The boxes are mailed to your home in unmarked boxes at different times throughout the summer. Deliveries will start in the middle of June, and continue until the start of the new school year.

Picture day will be Tuesday, April 25, of the morning. Individual and group pictures will be taken. The group picture is part of the individual package.
Due to having no water, Lakeside will be closed for the day. Please send a bottled water on Friday as we anticipate a boil water advisory.

Lakeside will dismiss at 1:15 because the water company will need to shut off water due to repairing leaks. Also, bus 1803 will not run. Those students will ride 1404 and 1208. Bus 1502 is not running. Those kids will ride 1504 and 1208.

Friday is the last day to donate to Jump Rope for Heart. Donations are online only. Thanks for helping us support a worthy cause with this service project.

Don't forget about our Community Service Project that 2nd and 4th grades are doing. They are collecting personal care items for foster families through the Children's Home Society until Oct. 31. We have a collection box in front of the office. Toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, hair products, socks, underwear, coats, and blankets are some of the things you can send in.

Thursday: Family Night 6-7:30. Some events are outdoors. Dress for the weather. Thursday kids are encouraged to dress like a pioneer or favorite Little House character. Families are welcome to dress as pioneers also for the evening events. Friday: no school for students.

Dear Families of 4th and 5th graders:
Your student will be bringing home state assessment results today if he/she took the WV General Summative Assessment: grades 3-8, the WV Alternate Student Assessment: grades 3-8, or the SAT School Day exam for grade 11 last spring. In addition, you and your student will also be receiving an email with a link to a video score report for WVGSA or WV SAT only. The video link is being sent to the student email account and the parent email on file with your student. Please have your student check the student email account to find the link. Simply copy the link into your web browser and use your student’s birthdate to open the video score report. If you enter the birthdate incorrectly three times, the account will be locked.
If you do not receive printed score reports OR if you have difficulty opening the video report, please contact the school for assistance. You may also call the school if you need assistance in interpreting your student's score report.
