Lakeside Elementary's Open House will take place on Tuesday, August 19th from 4:00 - 6:00pm. We are looking forward to a wonderful year together!
Tomorrow is field day at Lakeside Elementary. A schedule of events is posted on our website and our school facebook page. Classrooms with do awards at a time that works with their schedules.
A Hurricane Fired Department truck may be coming at 2:00, as long as there is no lightning. Please send your child with a towel so they can used it to dry off and wrap up. Students may come home a little wet.
While rainy weather is expected on Friday, Field Day is still a go! Some events will be moved indoors and modified. Some events may have to happen during PE class next week.
Bus 1502 is not running this evening, April 25. Bus 1502 students will ride home on bus 1505. Clymer's Creek and Big Creek families need to meet the bus at the intersection of Clymer's Creek and Route 34 at 3:00.
Students who ride bus 1504 will be riding bus 1502 home today. Bus 1502 students may be delayed slightly due to extra stops which the driver will be making. Bus 1502 parents will meet at the normal locations to receive students.
Parents may pick up the Little Caesar's Pizza Kit orders from 4:15-5:15 Wednesday afternoon.
Reminder: There will be a PTO meeting from 6:00-7:00 this evening, March 20th, at the school. Hope you can make it.

The school will be selling Little Ceasar's Pizza Kits to help raise money for school trips. This will run from March 3-27. The kits will be delivered during the week of April 14.
Buses left later today due to bus changes. 1803 will not be delivering kids home. Students will be on buses 1504, 1208 and 1404. Anticipate delays for all students by a few minutes.
Please check with your children to see if their headphones are working. They need these for their iReady lessons and testing. If not, please send in a new pair. Also, see if they have plenty of basic school supplies (PENCILS, wide ruled notebook paper, crayons, glue, and scissors ). Please send in a fresh supply as they may have run out of something from the beginning of the year.

Bus 1206 will meet Sycamore students at Speedway 9-9:15.
School dismisses at 11:45 Friday, February 14.
Bus 1206 will resume its normal run. The culvert is repaired.
Starting Monday morning, 2/10/25, Bus 1206 will pick up students on Sycamore Road at Panther Lick at 7:00 a.m. This is due to a washed-out culvert.
There is a two hour delay January 22, 2025. Facebook has it listed on the county page. There are some busses still unable to make their full runs.
First Baptist Church in Hurricane will give away free food boxes December 21 at 8:00 a.m. until they run out.
Glad Tidings Assembly of God (by Fruth Pharmacy) will let children shop for 5 gifts and 2 gifts for themselves for free on Saturday, December 21 from 10-4 and Sunday, December 22 from 1 -4..
Friday, December 20th, is a 3 hour early dismissal. Kids will leave at 11:45. Please make sure your kids return to school on January 2, 2025. Happy Holidays to all.
