Bus 1206 will meet Sycamore students at Speedway 9-9:15.
School dismisses at 11:45 Friday, February 14.
Bus 1206 will resume its normal run. The culvert is repaired.
Starting Monday morning, 2/10/25, Bus 1206 will pick up students on Sycamore Road at Panther Lick at 7:00 a.m. This is due to a washed-out culvert.
There is a two hour delay January 22, 2025. Facebook has it listed on the county page. There are some busses still unable to make their full runs.
First Baptist Church in Hurricane will give away free food boxes December 21 at 8:00 a.m. until they run out.
Glad Tidings Assembly of God (by Fruth Pharmacy) will let children shop for 5 gifts and 2 gifts for themselves for free on Saturday, December 21 from 10-4 and Sunday, December 22 from 1 -4..
Friday, December 20th, is a 3 hour early dismissal. Kids will leave at 11:45. Please make sure your kids return to school on January 2, 2025. Happy Holidays to all.
The Putnam County Collaborative Pre-K Program will begin registration for their FREE Four-Year-Old Pre-K Program as follows:
Beginning January 21, 2025, at 8:00 AM, parents/guardians may register their child by visiting www.putnamschools.com and selecting the following menu tabs: MENU > PARENTS > PREK. Click the “Sign-Up” button to begin the registration process.
Parents/guardians may call Putnam County Schools at 304-586-0500 ext. 1133, ext. 1178, or ext. 1122 for assistance if internet access is unavailable.
To be eligible, children must reside in Putnam County and turn four before July 1, 2025.

Cookies with Santa will be held Tuesday, December 19, between 6:00 and 7:30 pm. Bring your camera or phone to take a picture, make a craft and have cookies and cocoa.
Our fourth and fifth graders will be performing their Christmas program at First Baptist Church Thursday, December 12 at 7:00 pm. Students are to arrive at the church at 6:30. They are to wear black clothing.
Dec. 9-13 the Goodwill Truck will be here if you have things you'd like to drop off. It is a fundraiser for our new sound system. Smaller items, clothing, and textiles are what they are accepting. Dec. 9 at 8:00 a.m. is the 4th and 5th grade spelling bee. Parents of participants can attend. Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7:00 p.m. is the 4th and 5th grade Christmas program at First Baptist Church. Coming up week after next is Cookies with Santa on 12/17/24 from 6-7:30.

Goodwill Truck Fundraiser
December 9-13 we will have the Goodwill truck here to collect used toys, textiles (clothing, bedding, curtains, etc...) and small household items you may no longer want or need around your house. They will pay us 10 cents per pound. We will have the truck available for people to drop off their gently used, unwanted items during the week from 8a.m.-3 p.m. We will use the money to add to our funding for the sound system PTO wants to purchase for our music department. 10% will go towards the contingency fund. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and a good week off. See you Dec. 2.

Texas Roadhouse Rolls will be delivered Friday, Nov. 8th and can be picked up at school between 3:00 and 4:30. We cannot store rolls in our freezers overnight so please arrange for pick up in the gym. Please park and come in the school to get them.

Our Halloween parade will begin at 1:15 in the front driveway. Parties will begin at 1:30. Students can wear their costumes with appropriate shoes for PE. Please do not send costume weapon props. Remember you can park in the basketball court parking lot.
